On this trip parents will accompany athletes (or in some cases chaperone other athletes). All accommodation is therefore personal choice and budget, which gives great options!
There are many inexpensive options available, we suggest looking on Booking.com and selecting ideas close to the competition venue, and work out from there depending on your budget. As of September 2026, rooms were available in chains such as IBIS, close to the event, from £100 a night.
Please note - The coaches are not able to chaperone on this trip outside of event times as they will not be returning to London at the same time as each other.
If you need help finding someone to travel with your child - reach out to BRAD and he will find out if any other family your child is comfortable with could chaperone for you.
The coaches will not be chaperoning on this trip, but as an idea of how they plan to travel;
They will take a taxi from the airport in Lisbon to their hotel (approx £50 each way).
They will walk to and from competition, or use a taxi if it is late.
They will return to the airport by taxi at the end of the event weekend.
If you would like to find another family to share travel with (taxi or car hire) please email BRAD and he will do his best to partner you up.

SUMMIT ROUNDS
All teams will compete twice over two days. Preliminary (Day 1) scores will determine the initial performance order for Final Performances (Day 2). The performance order may be adjusted to accommodate crossover requests.

To be confirmed as son as we get details from Varsity.
Travel: Friday 18th June (usually after school).
Competition: 19th AND 20th June.
Return home: Monday 21st June.
Please note - until Varsity announce running times, we wont have even a rough idea of the Sunday finish time, and both teams compete on both days. It could be quite late, so please be mindful if you planned to leave Sunday.
If you require a permission note to miss school on either or both travel days, please ask LISA who can supply you with a request for your school.
£168.00 per athlete
The cost is for entry fee (athlete) and a contribution to coaches travel expenses.
Artemis has subsidised the coaches expenses and salary.
The fee does not include any travel or accommodation, or spectator tickets.
