Hip Hop and Commercial Competitive Crews
Artemis Hip Hop and Commercial is run by Team England choreographer Carla Crowley, whose teams represent the UK at World Championships.
Carla joined us as our Head of Hip Hop, Street, Urban and Contemporary Dance in September 2021 and has built up 4 teams and 5 technique classes for Artemis, leading us to Worlds in under 2 years!
Joining one of our crews is by invitation only, and dancers will be selected from our technique classes. All crew members must continue to take technique classes to be part of a crew (exams are optional). Currently we have wait lists to try out for all of our crews.
Senior 1 OPEN Crew: Legion
Our senior crew train for 2.5 hours a week plus choreography masterclasses before competitions and in the holidays (they must also attend technique class).
Entry by invitation at audition.
Open to dancers 14-19++ years old.
Training: Thursdays, 6:30-9pm
Location: South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell

Senior Under 18 Crew: Precision
Our Senior U18 crew train for 2.5 hours a week plus choreography masterclasses before competitions and in the holidays (they must also attend technique class).
Entry by invitation at audition.
Open to dancers 15-18 years old.
Training: Thursday, 5-7:30pm

** Note, Precision is part of the Artemis College full time dance course, and is high level. The crew is made up of the full time dancers and 10 dancers from outside college, chosen at tryouts by Carla.
Junior Crew: Breakout
Our Junior crew train for 2.5 hours a week plus choreography masterclasses before competitions and in the holidays (they must also attend technique class).
Entry by invitation at audition.
Open to dancers 10-14 years old.
Training: Mondays, 5-7:30pm

Youth Crew: Dynamite
Our Youth crew train for 1 hour a week which includes technique for exams.
They compete once a year, and perform in two showcases one in December and one at Easter.
No audition needed. Two week free tryout!
Open to dancers 8-11 years old.
Training: Mondays, 4-5pm

Mini Crew:
Mini Monsters!
Our Mini crew train for 1 hour a week which includes technique for exams.
They perform in two showcases one in December and one at Easter.
No audition needed. Two week free tryout!
Open to dancers 5-8 years old.
Training: Thursdays, 4.30-5.30pm
