Terms and conditions
Upon accepting a place on any Artemis course, paid or free, it is your responsibility to have read and understood the Terms and Conditions. Accepting a place is also accepting and agreeing to these terms.
Terms and Conditions for Artemis Studios Performing Arts Schools
Welcome to Artemis! Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By enrolling your child in our part-time performing arts and dance school, you agree to the following terms:
Enrolment:
You, as the student's guardian, agree to enroll your child(ren) or self in Artemis for performing arts, dance, or cheerleading classes.
Ongoing Enrolment:
Enrolment is considered ongoing unless we receive a written notice from you at least six weeks in advance, indicating your intention to quit. This will increase to a full term for cheer classes from September 2024 to allow for competition routine re-setting time.
If you wish to discontinue your/your child's classes, the notice must be submitted in writing and received by info@artemis-studios.co.uk at least six weeks (2 weeks for Cheer from September 2024) before the end of the current term.
If notice is not provided in accordance with this requirement, you will be responsible for 50% fees for the subsequent term (100% from September 2025 for Cheer), and any accrued this term, plus outstanding uniform, competition, membership, spectator tickets or any other class/course fees incurred by accepting a place.
Withdrawal without Notice:
In case of withdrawal from our classes without the required minimum six weeks' (12 weeks for Cheer from September 2024) notice, you will be charged for:
Half a term's fees in lieu of notice (a full term from September 2024).
Any fees accrued.
Fees:
Fees for each term are to be paid in full at the beginning of the term unless split payments are agreed. See the fees page to arrange to spread payments.
Fees for events may be due at once. Notice is always given at the start of an academic year to guide on competitions, uniform or any other non class fees.
Payment instructions and due dates will be provided in invoices, or can be found at https://artemis-studios.co.uk/fees.
Invoices are emailed each term or upone enrolment for a new starter and should be checked by you or the person paying online at www.artemis.friendlymanager.com
Failure to make timely payments may result in your child's removal from the class until outstanding fees are settled, or late fees being applied.
Artemis reserves the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice of at least half a term.
Class Schedule:
Class schedules, including dates, times, and locations, are subject to change. Artemis will notify you of any changes in a timely manner if this will be permenant and with no less than 6 weeks/half a term notice. The only exception to this would be if a venue is closed for an emergency.
Dress Code:
Students are expected to adhere to the school's dress code, which will be communicated separately by the course leader.
Code of Conduct:
All students are expected to behave respectfully and considerately towards instructors, staff, and fellow students.
Artemis reserves the right to dismiss any student who engages in disruptive or disrespectful behaviour.
All parents are expected to behave in a respectful manner towards staff, students and fellow guardians. Please see our full policy on expectations.
Liability:
Artemis is not liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur during classes or activities unless due to neglect.
You are responsible for ensuring your child is adequately covered by personal insurance when engaged in physical activity.
Media Consent:
By enrolling your child in our school, you grant Artemis permission to use photographs, videos, or recordings for promotional or educational purposes for a period of 10 years.
Cancellation of Classes:
Artemis reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide makeup sessions or offer refunds.
Termination of Enrolment:
Artemis may terminate enrollment for any student due to persistent non-compliance with school rules or for any other valid reasons.
Communication:
All communication, including notices of withdrawal and inquiries, should be directed to info@artemis-studios.co.uk in writing.
Amendments:
Artemis reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, and any changes will be communicated to you in a timely manner of no fewer than 6 term time weeks.
By enrolling you/your child at Artemis, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and agree to abide by them. Please retain a copy of these terms for your records.
