Hip Hop Technique
Hip Hop and Commercial Training Classes
Artemis Hip Hop and Commercial is overseen by Team England choreographer Carla Crowley, whose teams represent the UK at World Championships.
Carla joined us as our Head of Hip Hop, Street, Urban and Commercial Dance in September 2021 and has built up 5 crews and 4 technique classes for Artemis, leading us to Worlds in under 2 years!
Our Technique and exam classes are one hour long, weekly. Students work towards graded exams—exams run twice a year and taking them is optional, as the syllabus is taught as part of regular classes. In recent exams, 9 out of 10 students scored 95% or higher, with some achieving 100%.
All members of any of our competitive crews must continue to take technique classes.
Technique and exam classes are open to all (subject to space).
Classes, exams and choreography are all overseen by Carla, and taught by her dedicated and highly qualified team of tutors. Carla tutors personally at Artemis College, Senior 1 Crew, on masterclasses, holiday workshops, our Disney Performing Arts program, and Artemis@18 festival.
Senior Technique
Our senior technique class trains for 1 hour a week.
Ages: 14–adult
Training: Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm
Location: South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell
Tutor: Nick Pack
Training fee: £60 per term
Additional fees: Uniform teeshirt
Mini Technique
Our mini technique class trains for 1 hour a week.
Ages: 5-8
Training: Thursday, 4.30-5.30pm
Tutors: Lisa Poggi and Sophia Cross
Location: Birch Hill Community Centre, Bracknell
Training fee: £60 per term
Additional fees: Uniform
Junior Technique
Our junior technique class trains for 1 hours a week.
Ages: 9+
Training: Mondays, 5-6pm
Location: Birch Hill Community Centre, Bracknell
Tutors: Sophia Cross and Grace O’Sullivan
Training fee: £60 per term

Youth Technique
Our Youth technique class trains for 1 hour a week.
They will compete in 1 competition and appear in 2 showcases and a festival in 2025.
Ages: 8-11
Training: Monday, 4.00-5:00pm
